Workshop Description
Go live and worldwide by using VoiceThread to publish student work and take advantage of students' desire to read, write, and draw for an audience. Teachers will come away from this workshop understanding what VoiceThread is and how it can be used effectively in the classroom to publish student work and also allow students opportunities to express themselves in different ways. Participants will be able to sign up for a VT account and play around with making their own VT.

Lucy's Bio:
Lucy Divis is currently a Title 1 reading teacher at Longfellow School and student taught in Debbie Creticos's classroom during the 2009-2010 school year. Prior to working at Longfellow, Lucy taught preschool for three years at First Circle Education for Young Children. Prior to teaching at all, sheworked as a financial analyst at a private equity firm. Lucy graduated with a dual degree in Economics and French from Claremont
McKenna College and in May of 2010 Lucy will gradaute with a masters degree in Early Childhood Education from the Erikson Institute.

Debbie Creticos's involvement with Digital Leaders brought Lucy to the team this year. Already familiar with some of the technology used in
the school, Lucy focused on creating classroom projects and curriculum that integrated this 21st century technology to ensure children have
multiple ways of discovering information and expressing their knowledge. She is excited to help share this information with other educators.
